Our Process
No referral needed. Our booking form walks you through everything in one place - history questionnaire, consent forms, deposit, and calendar booking.
01 Complete the booking form
Complete the history questionnaire (dog or cat), pay your deposit and pick your time - all in the embedded forms on the “Book a Canine Appt” and “Book a Feline Appt” pages.
In the history form we ask that you provide your primary veterinary clinic information and consent to reach out to them to acquire your pet’s medical records prior to your appointment.
Right after you submit the form, you'll receive an email with links to sign your Practice Policy and Consent for Assessment and Treatment. These take just a few minutes and must be completed before your appointment.
**If you have a pet other than a dog or cat please submit the request form below
02 Attend your appointment
True North Veterinary Behavioural Medicine is located on 75 Henlow Bay - within True North Veterinary Eye Care. When you arrive for you appointment, please wait in your car and call the number that is provided in the confirmation message sent before your appointment.
The initial appointment is 60-90 minutes (in-person or virtual depending on the species and type). Dr. Squair will review your history, assess the behaviour, and develop a diagnosis(es) and treatment plan with you.
03 Receive your written treatment plan
At the end of your appointment, you will leave with a preliminary medication summary (if medications are prescribed) and a written script for prescribed medications. Within 7-10 days, you will receive the full visit summary - including diagnosis(es), recommendations, and next steps.
04 Follow up care
Ongoing email support is available and encouraged. Additionally, follow-up appointments, including 15-minute Zoom check-ins (recommended every 2-3 months) and an Annual Behaviour Recheck appointment, are recommended for ongoing support.
